Although Snowdonia is easily accessible by road, train or coach from England, as you will discover, it is a different world with its own unique character, dramatic scenery, and sense of identity.

A55 - from Northern England & Scotland

A5 - from the Midlands and Southern England

A470 - from South Wales

A5 (Holyhead) - from Ireland via ferry


Public Transport into the area is also available.

The nearest International Airports are at Manchester and Birmingham.

Travelling by Train

There is access to Snowdonia by rail, along the north & west coasts, and the Conwy & Lledr valleys. There is also a rail link between Blaenau Ffestiniog and Porthmadog using the Ffestiniog Railway.
